As a teacher based not-for-profit incorporated association ATOM’s mandate is to foster and support screen and media literacy in all Australian school classrooms. We work with affiliate associations in Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and The Northern Territory and with teachers who elect to teach screen and media in Tasmania, the ACT and New South Wales.
ATOM is one of only two Screen Australia pre-approved Study Guide creators.
Our Study Guides, and our relationship with Australian screen content producers, is in place to ensure that Australian screen content is more and more embedded into our classrooms in all subject areas across the national and state curricula.
Our writers are highly experienced senior secondary teachers or former educators who have a deep knowledge and understanding of the classroom and both teacher and student requirements. Our guides are not written to a template but are be-spoke to each project as a unique and individual enterprise.
They are delivered to The Education Shop website as high resolution interactive PDFs as both a full iteration with a supporting Grab & Go version for quick lesson planning.
