ATOM PL 2026: Practical Media 202
Date: Wednesday 10th June 2026

This full day seminar is a hands-on workshop that will build the skills of teachers in the world of practical media in the classroom.
The Practical 202 session will build on the skills developed in Practical Media 101. This will include more advanced (intermediate level) project based tutorial sessions in Premiere Pro, Animate, Photoshop & InDesign.
The day will consist of hands on practical tutorials, followed by a short project in each software to enable you to feel comfortable teaching the software to your media students.
Please be mindful that this session is an intermediate guide to the software, assuming some basic skill in most softwares. You will walk away from the day with more advanced skills in the four most commonly used Adobe software programs in a Media classroom.
Please arrive at 9am for a 9:30am start.
You must have your own laptop device with Adobe Premiere Pro, Animate, Photoshop and InDesign installed.
The seminar will include:

Unfortunately this session will not be offering an online option due to the practical nature of the seminar.
ATOM PL 2026: VCE Media Unit 2 & 4
Date: Wednesday 20th May 2026
Time: 9:30AM – 2:30PM. Arrive at 9AM for registration.
Location: GDFL 2, ACMI, Federation Square, Melbourne 3000
A full day professional learning seminar about the VCE Media Units 2 & 4 for teachers, held at ACMI.
Experienced ATOMVic Education Committee educators will take teachers through Units 2 & 4 according to the New Media Study Design to equip them with knowledge, resources and reassurance going forward.
This session is aimed at educators of all experience levels teaching within the new study design.
Running schedule
9.15–9.30am — Registration
9.30–9.40am — Settling in & housekeeping
9.40–10.00am — ACMI introduction
10.00am–12.00pm — Unit 2 session (including a short 5-minute break)
12.00–12.30pm — Lunch
12.30–2.30pm — Unit 4 session (including a short 5-minute break)
2.30–3.00pm — TBC Optional ACMI exhibition visit
