The 2024 ATOM SAC Packs have arrived! Now with Unit 4 – Agency and Control.
This year we have several variations to offer:
- 2024 ATOM Narratives and Contexts SAC for VCE Media Unit 3
- 2024 ATOM Narratives SAC for VCE Media Unit 3
- 2024 ATOM Contexts SAC for VCE Media Unit 3
- 2024 ATOM Video Essays SAC for VCE Media Unit 3 (Assessment includes an assignment and rubric for a Video Essays SAC. This also includes a modified version for unscored students)
- 2024 ATOM Agency and Control SAC for VCE Media Unit 4

Many schools will choose to assess students using a modified version of one of the three Unit 3 SACs provided. Some schools will choose to use both the Narratives SAC and the Contexts SAC for a 40 mark assessment. Schools that exclusively assessed Narratives in their Video Essay assessment may choose to focus on Contexts for this written SAC (or vice versa).
The 2024 ATOM Media Practice Exam is for Unit 3 & 4 Media students to prepare for their final exams. Written by experienced media educators in the ATOM Education Committee, the practice exam provides sample questions based on the New Study Design and a rubric for student reference and marking.
Please note: The 2024 ATOM SAC Pack and 2024 ATOM Media Practice Exam are not official VCAA documents and should be only used as guiding documents. Any materials used for VCE assessment should be modified so it is appropriate to your cohort of students. Materials used for practice examination are not indicative of the final VCE exam written by VCAA.
