This is a full day Professional Learning (PL) seminar held at Graduate House, University of Melbourne on Thursday May 5th.
Presented by expert educators Travis McKenzie and Nick Zomer, this Seminar will take teacher’s through the VCE Media SAT, as it relates to the Study Design, as well as offering tools and tips on how to progress your students through the coursework task. Teachers will also have the opportunity to practice assessing sample SATs.
This session is aimed at new teachers, teachers returning to VCE Media or those wanting to refresh their knowledge of the SAT.
The seminar will commence at 9am with registration open from 8.30am.
The seminar will include:
- Reference materials (emailed to each teacher, prior to the workshop)
- Morning tea and a working lunch

Presented by expert media educators Dean James and Brett Jenkins, the seminar takes teachers through Unit 1, examining the study guide and how it applies to the classroom. This session is aimed at new teachers, teachers returning to unit 1 Media, and those wanting to refresh their knowledge.
The seminar covers Key Knowledge and Key Skills of each area in Unit 1 as well as providing tips and ideas on delivering the course in different school contexts, including teaching timelines and resources.
